About Nettle & Ash Studios

Our Purpose

Nettle & Ash Studios exists to support practitioners in building private practices that are ethical, sustainable, and aligned with who they are.

Too many therapists, BCBAs, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, coaches, and wellness practitioners are taught how to care for others, but not how to build systems that care for them. Private practice is often presented as a rigid, one-size-fits-all model that prioritizes productivity over wellbeing and compliance over clarity.

The Studio was created as an alternative.

We help practitioners design practices that feel grounded, livable, and intentional, without burnout, self-abandonment, or unnecessary complexity.

What the Studio Is

Nettle & Ash Studios is a private practice support and consulting studio for practitioners across the U.S. We specialize in practice setup, practice management, billing support, systems design, and long-term sustainability.

Our work supports every operational layer of a private practice, including:

  • business and organizational setup

  • billing systems and claims support

  • scheduling workflows and practice management

  • policies, procedures, and documentation

  • SOPs and backend systems

  • ethical and compliant infrastructure

  • values-aligned practice design

This is not generic business coaching.
This is intentional practice architecture- designed to support both the practitioner and the people they serve.

Our Approach

Our approach is collaborative, practical, and non-prescriptive.

We do not believe in rigid formulas or “one right way” to build a practice. Instead, we partner with practitioners to co-create systems and structures that reflect:

  • their values

  • their identity and lived experience

  • their nervous system and capacity

  • their culture and community

  • the realities of their clinical work

We integrate behavioral science, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles, ethical business design, and systems thinking to create practices that are both functional and humane.

The goal is clarity instead of chaos, and sustainability instead of burnout.

Who We Serve

Nettle & Ash Studios provides private practice support for all practitioners who are building, growing, or refining their practices and value ethical, sustainable work.

We work with

  • therapists and counselors

  • BCBAs and behavior analysts

  • social workers

  • coaches

  • wellness practitioners

While our services are open to all, the Studio intentionally prioritizes and centers neurodivergent, queer, and BIPOC practitioners, who are often underserved or excluded by traditional private practice and business support models.

This prioritization shapes how we design systems and deliver support

  • flexible practice management structures

  • ethical billing and backend support

  • workflows that honor different nervous systems

  • consulting that respects culture, identity, and lived experience

  • practices built for longevity, not extraction

We believe access matters, and equity requires intention.
